Breakthrough Training

Wednesdays 5:30 - 6:15 pm.
Breakthrough Training is designed to help you break through to the next performance level of any self-improvement activity, such as yoga, athletics, or your job. A self-paced class with repetitions of challenging movements from yoga and core conditioning. Must be willing to assist other students in partner work.
Chair Yoga*
Alberta: Tuesdays 9am-10.
This yoga class is for anyone wanting to experience the benefits of yoga from the comfort of a chair.
*Chair Yoga is hosted by the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship of Jefferson City, located at 1021 Northeast Drive. From Southwest Blvd, take Woodclift east to Northeast Dr. and turn left. It's the second building on the right. Enter through the door on the right. Wheelchair accessible.
Gentle Yoga
Jan: Tuesdays 5:30pm-7.
Gentle Yoga combines warm-ups, gentle and restorative yoga poses, breathing, and relaxation to reduce stress, increase freedom of movement and restore vitality. Less vigorous than other classes.
Guided Meditation
Colleen: Sundays 5:30pm-6:30.
Enjoy silence, relaxation, and guided meditations including Eckhart Tolle's Inner Body Awareness, and Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction as taught by Jon Kabat-Zinn.
Intermediate Yoga
Megan: Tuesdays 5:30pm-7.
Intermediate Yoga is for students who wish to deepen their study of yoga asana and theory. Introduced are challenging twists, forward bends, back bends, inversions, as well as development of mental and spiritual alacrity. Intermediate Yoga also includes meditation, pranayama, exploration of the Yoga Sutras, and very challenging postures. This class is recommended for the advanced practitioner.
Kids Yoga
Rene': Tuesdays 10:30am-11:15am.
Kids Yoga is a fun introduction to yoga for children ages 3-8.
Kundalini Yoga
Megan: Saturday April 19th 10 am-11:30.
Kundalini yoga is a dance of breath and dynamic movement designed to open the energy centers of the body.
Lunch Break Yoga
Megan: Tuesdays 12:05-12:55.
Megan: Thursdays 12:05-12:55.
Tuesday's class is a bit more aerobic, and includes core work. Suitable for beginners, but expect to be challenged!
Thursday's class focuses on stretching, deep breathing, and a slower pace. Perfect for the end of a stressful week!
Qigong
Jeff: Wednesdays noon-1pm.
Qigong is a system of slow movement, breath techniques and meditation that promote self healing. This is an ancient Chinese practice that is used to accumulate, cleanse, and refine our life force, improving health of mind and body. Qigong exercises are not strenuous and can even be done while sitting.
Payment for Qigong should be made directly to Jeff and is $8/class. Everyone is welcome and classes can be joined at any time. Please wear loose, comfortable clothing.
Yoga Basics
Sallie: Mondays 4:15-5:15pm.
Megan: Tuesdays 10:30-11:30am.
Judi: Wednesdays 10-11am.
Sallie: Wednesdays 5:30-6:30pm.
Jan: Thursdays 5:30-6:30pm.
Yoga Basics is a great place to start your practice of yoga or to deepen your knowledge of the basics. You'll practice basic poses to increase strength and flexibility, improve posture and balance, and learn basic alignment to keep you safe during your practice of yoga.
Yoga Mix

Sallie: Saturdays 8-9:30am.
This is an invigorating class for all levels, including physically fit beginners. (It is recommended, however, that you start with Yoga Basics or have some previous yoga experience.) Mix it up with a variety of styles and a little faster pace. Expect to be challenged. The practice of inversions may be included.
YogaTeen
Megan: Thursdays 4:30-5:20pm.
An exciting and fun yoga class just for teens. Expect loud music and mayhem! Mix it up with your friends, learn to manage your mind, stretch and strengthen, relax and rock, listen and laugh in a yoga class for teens only! Most importantly? You'll learn how to turn off your monkey mind, and relax.
